Research Interests:

Dr. Zyzanski is Professor of Family Medicine, Biostatistics/Epidemiology, and Oncology, and directed the Division of Research in the Department of Family Medicine from 1979 to 2008.  Dr. Zyzanski is a psychometrician with extensive experience in measurement, data analysis, evaluation and research methods.  He has developed and published numerous behavioral instruments used in health research.  His national prominence is indicated by his publications, funded research projects, study section and editorial board service and his tenure on national committees.  His research interests, grant support, and publications focus in the areas of chronic disease epidemiology, primary care and health services research, delivery of preventive services, and cancer relevant behavioral measurement.
