James Werner, PhD is Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Case Western Reserve University.  He has participated in the development of Practice-Based Research Networks (PBRNs) and the conduct of practice-based research since 1994.  Dr. Werner is Director of the Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN) Core Facility at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center and Co-Director of the PBRN Shared Resource of the Cleveland Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC).  Through these Shared Resources, he collaborates with academic investigators and full-time clinicians to conduct clinical and translational research.  Dr. Werner's research interests are in the areas of practice-based research methods, behavioral health in primary care, and health behavior change.
