Thank you for your interest in our department. As third year residents, and the current chiefs, we are excited to tell you that we are becoming the physicians we always wanted to be. It has been a challenging and rewarding journey, and we are learning every day. We hope you will take a close look at what our residency training program has to offer you, and we look forward to answering any questions you may have along the way!

We are a small, close-knit department in the heart of a large, world-class academic medical center and extensive regional health system. Our faculty offers a wide variety of expertise from maternity care to international health, public health, research, mental illness, inpatient medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, and geriatrics. Learning experiences outside of our department provide cutting-edge knowledge; we are privileged to work with specialists who are often internationally recognized in their fields. The extensive regional health system also affords us experiences outside of the tertiary care center in community hospitals in small cities and rural areas.

One of the most wonderful aspects of Family Medicine is the wide variety of career paths open to us after graduation. Our department is especially well-equipped to help every resident develop his or her particular interests, whatever they may be. Our graduates have gone on to accomplished positions in everything from private practice to maternal/child health, to public health in developing countries to academics, to emergency room care to hospitalist. We can offer this because of the array of training opportunities afforded to us by our relationship with a top-notch medical school, and because of the diversity of our faculty and residents. If you're hard-working and passionate about your patients, this is the place for you!

And don't worry; we also like to have fun! From organized family outings, picnics, retreats, and nightlife adventures - we are a fun-loving bunch!

Feel free to contact us via our Program Coordinator, Angela, with any questions regarding the program or the current residents:

We look forward to meeting you on the interview trail!
