Sumita Khatri is an adult pulmonary and critical care physician with a specialized focus in asthma. She is a native Clevelander who trained at Ohio State University for Medical School, Loyola University Medical Center for residency, and The Cleveland Clinic Foundation for her pulmonary and critical care fellowship. After training, she joined the faculty at Emory University Medical Center where she received her Master’s in Clinical Research. She returned to Cleveland in 2006 and joined the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the MetroHealth Medical Center Campus. Her clinical and research interests include the effects of air pollution and environmental triggers on asthma as well as evaluating biomarkers of asthma.
