Dr. Cathleen Cerny is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati , College of Medicine . She completed her adult psychiatry training in the University Hospitals, Case Medical Center program. After residency, Dr. Cerny completed Case's highly regarded forensic psychiatry fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Phillip Resnick.
Dr. Cerny joined the faculty of UH/Case Department of Psychiatry in 2006. She is a senior instructor (soon to be assistant professor if Case approves my promotion!) and the Associate Training Director for the adult psychiatry residency. Her interests include forensic psychiatry, community psychiatry, academic psychiatry and residency education.
Dr. Cerny joined the WFSOM steering committee in fall 2008. She is also co-founder of a women's faculty group in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Cerny is one of the recipients of the 2009 WFSOM Junior Career Development Award.
