Summary of 1-11-01 CME Minutes 

  1. Congratulations to fourth year student CME representative Eric Baden on his election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for the Class of 2001.

  2. Dr. Hue-Lee Kaung is now an official voting member of the CME appointed by the Dean to replace Dr. John Mieyal, who is on sabbatical.  The term of service ends on June 30, 2001.  Dr. Kaung will then be able to run for election to a full three-year term, should she so choose.

  3. Year IV students were urged to sign up to take the USMLE Step 2.

A student cannot graduate from the CWRU School of Medicine without passing the USMLE Step 2.  Some residency programs do not accept students who have not passed the USMLE Step 2.
