On May 15, 1997, at the educational retreat that took place at the Cleveland Skating Club, Dean Nathan A. Berger charged Dr. C. Kent Smith, Vice Dean, with the creation of the Millennium Curriculum
Project. The Project has as its goal the preparation of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine to enter the new millennium with the best curriculum in the nation and in the world.
This retreat marked the begining of the curriculum revision.
