Research

My research is focused on Synchrotron Protein Footprinting to investigate the structure and dynamics of biological macromolecule and their complexes in solution. Synchrotron Footprinting have been successfully used to study enzyme cofactor interaction, protein-protein interactions and protein nucleic interactions. Currently we are investigating structure of large biomolecular assemblies and developing methodologies for the study of membrane bound receptor. Our research is also focus on the study of protein-protein and protein-nucleic interactions in living cell. We are developing beamline optics and instrumentation for efficient protein x-ray radiolysis and faster time resolve techniques to study ultra-fast biological processes in the synchrotron light source, and improving mass spectrometric methodologies for quantitative analysis.
