Peter de Blank, MD, MA, MSCE is a graduate of the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed a Masters of Arts in English and American Literature at Stanford University, and a Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania. He underwent residency in Pediatrics, and fellowships in Pediatric Hematology & Oncology and Pediatric Neuro-Oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In 2012, Dr. de Blank joined the faculty at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow & Babies Children’s Hospital as a physician-scientist. He is a practicing Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist and Director of the Center for Survivors of Childhood Cancer at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. His research focuses on the development of early radiologic biomarkers of functional complications of brain tumors and brain tumor therapy. Functional, non-invasive biomarkers of important clinical outcomes may improve clinical outcomes, guide early intervention efforts and direct support for children with brain tumors.
