Dr. Viswanathan received his medical degree from Govt. Medical College, Calicut, India. He completed residencies in pediatrics at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, and the Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children, Madras Medical College, Chennai, India. He served his fellowship in neonatology at MetroHealth Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic, both in Cleveland, Ohio. He also holds a master’s degree in clinical research from Case Western Reserve University. He is board certified in pediatrics and neonatology. Prior to joining the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital staff in 2012, Dr. Viswanathan was in pediatric and neonatology practice in the United Kingdom. Dr. Viswanathan has published research papers in leading medical journals and presented at more than a dozen medical conferences and meetings in India and the United States. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition and the Royal College of Pediatrics, UK.
