Beth Vogt, MD, is a specialist in pediatric kidney disease and Medical Director of Pediatric Hemodialysis Services, Pediatric Dialysis Services and the Pediatric Hypertension Center in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. She is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Vogt is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology. Her special interests are hypertension (high blood pressure), pediatric nephrology, chronic kidney disease and acute kidney injury. She has been a member of the UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital medical staff since 1994.

Dr. Vogt earned a bachelor’s degree in biology summa cum laude from Allegheny College, Meadville, Pa., where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her doctorate in medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pa., where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She served a residency in pediatrics at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md., and a clinical fellowship in nephrology followed by a research fellowship in nephrology, both at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis, Minn.

A dedicated researcher, Dr. Vogt has received numerous grants for research studies related to pediatric kidney disease and pediatric high blood pressure. She currently is a co-investigator on two studies sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, one on chronic kidney disease in children and one on obesity and blood pressure in urban youth.

Dr. Vogt frequently speaks at local community groups as well as national medical meetings. She has published scientific papers in leading professional journals and authored more than a dozen textbook chapters.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, International Pediatric Nephrology Association and American Society of Nephrology. Dr. Vogt has been named a Top Doc by Cleveland Magazine every year since 2009.
