CONTROLLER'S OFFICE
The Office of the Controller is responsible for managing
the overall accounting, payroll, and treasury services
operations of the University. This includes managing internal
controls to mitigate risk; ensuring that the official
accounting records of the University are up-to-date and
accurate; safeguarding the assets of the university to
minimize risk of financial loss; and developing and maintaining
robust cost systems and reporting tools to provide high-quality
financial information that supports the University's strategic
management initiatives. This office is also responsible
to produce a final audit of accounts, generate a statement
of expenses and create a financial status report.
Since membership on the Committee is on a voluntary, part-time basis, Case Western Reserve University has a full-time IACUC staff to handle the day to day affairs of the Committee. The staff receives, reviews, and distributes all submissions to the IACUC, such as animal protocols, annual reviews, protocol amendments, and facility access requests.
