Policy regarding investigators who leave Case Western Reserve University
Investigators who leave Case Western Reserve University and retain an appointment with university may continue to conduct research according to the IACUC-approved protocol, and animals may continue to be housed at Case Western Reserve University under standard policies. However, if the investigator does not retain an appointment at Case, then the institutional official will determine the course of action.
IACUC Procedure:
- IACUC will verify that the investigator has a appointment with Case through the Research Division
- IACUC will notify the institutional official when the investigator no longer has an appointment
- IACUC will follow through on the institutional official’s guidance to maintain or terminate the protocol
