Overview
The Design and Fabrication Center is a fully equipped in-house CNC machining and fabricating facility that provides technical and engineering support services with mechanical, biomechanical, electrical and computerized applications; some resulting in a patent, award and/or TV coverage. During the past 15 years of service to the research community, the DFC assisted with numerous projects, grant renewals, and new grant awarding by designing and fabricating unique specialized apparatuses that resulted in the funding of new grants. Additionally, the Center played a key role with a number of local technology transfer startup companies. From simple projects to advanced complex instrumentation, the Design and Fabrication Center is dedicated to the advancement of research and researchers’ goals in a timely and cost effective manner.
