All personnel added to approved animal protocols
must complete the Occupational Health and Safety Module and the
Animal Exposure Questionnaire. This ensures that all personnel are
covered under the university Occupational Health and Safety Program.
Occupational
Health and Safety Module
This module is required for all personnel working with laboratory
animals. The course describes the program for occupational health
and safety. Every employee of CWRU with significant contact with
laboratory animals is included in this program. The test at the
end of the presentation serves as documentation that you have completed
the course. You will only be added to a protocol after you
have completed this test.
Animal
Exposure Questionnaire
All personnel with substantial animal contact must be included
in the Occupational Health and Safety Program. Please complete this
form and press the submit button on the bottom of the form. We will
contact you if additional information is required.
Laboratory
Animal Allergies
Allergies to laboratory animals affect a large percentage of individuals
working in the animal facility. A thorough understanding of how
to prevent allergies is important to every employee with contact
with laboratory animals.
