The mission of the Office of Research Administration is to manage and facilitate easy conduct of research for faculty in the School by providing administrative support for industry sponsored contracts, research compliance, special shared facilities; and to act as a liaison on behalf of the faculty for all research related matters. Research Administration provides guidance and stewardship for researchers while ensuring compliance with federal, University, and private sponsor regulations, terms and conditions. The Office serves as a central resource for coordination of limited external funding for the School of Medicine.

Strategic Plan for Research 2012

With the School of Medicine capital campaign set to open in June of 2012, we would like to update the SOM Strategic Plan to better reflect new goals and objectives for the next five years of the SOM. To ensure we are representing the needs of the research faculty, we want to know what the basic sciences will need from the capital campaign to enable our exceptional faculty to get even better at what they already do.
