CWRU Premed Conference

Preparing for Medical School: You Got to Have Heart!

On October 28, 2017 the Office Student Affairs and the Office of Diversity Initiatives & Community Engagement (ODICE) at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine will host a day-long premed conference. This conference is another effort by the School of Medicine to empower more minority and underrepresented students with the information they need to be competitive for medical school.

Conference Details:

The conference will be held in the School of Medicine, which is located near the intersection of Adelbert Road and Circle Drive in Cleveland, Ohio. There is also a large parking lot on that corner. You are responsible for your parking costs. You will enter the front of the medical school on Adelbert Road. There will be signage. The School of Medicine sits more than 100 meters from the street between Rainbow Babies & Children Hospital on the left and a parking low on the right. (On Google maps it looks like Cornell Road is the closest, but there is not an easy entrance to the building from there.) From Adelbert Road you will see a clock atop the School of Medicine. (That building is technically named the Biomedical Research Building.) Walk towards the clock. One of our volunteers will be there to meet you as you walk up the steps. Once you get inside the building, other volunteers will direct you to the third floor of the Robbins Building. If you get lost, ask for directions to room E321.

  • Registration will be open from 8AM-1PM.
  • Light snacks will be available when you arrive.
  • The welcome address will begin promptly at 9AM and the first workshops start at 9:30AM.
  • Lunch will begin at 11:40AM.
  • Your day will end at 5:10 PM.

Conference Attire:

The dress code will be business casual. No need for suits or neckties. No jeans. You will be meeting with medical, dental, nursing and physician assistant school recruiters. You will want to make a good impression!

Registration for the conference is closed. Only students who have registered for the conference are permitted to participate.
