Kathleen R. Rosen M.D.
Faculty Director of MSSSC She has a background in Pediatric Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. She spends 2 days each week in the operating rooms at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. She has been involved in Medical simulation since 1997 and has helped with the development of several current simulation products and innovative multidisciplinary programs.

Center Technical Manager
He has a background in computers and has been a residency program coordinator. He is responsible for maintenance of the manikins and technical equipment. In addition he is the manager and resident expert for our complex audiovisual system.

Melissa Cappaert
Standardized Patient Program Manager for MSSSC She began in this position in July 2006 bringing an excellent research background. Melissa is responsible for actor recruitment, training, performance, and evaluation. She also develops and validates cases and checklists.

Crista Moeller
Administrative Assistant for MSSSC
She is an invaluable resource because of her involvement with the project years before the grant was awarded. She is responsible for scheduling of programs, ordering of supplies, billing and miscellaneous. She can also schedule appointments with the full time MSSSC personnel.

Dyan Colpo
Part-time SP Trainer She is responsible for programs at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Dyan is an experience standardized patient actor who has expanded her skills to program management.
She began in September 2006.
Kathy Cole-Kelly
She is well known locally and nationally for her expertise and creative programs in communication for healthcare providers. She has joined the staff of MSSSC part-time as many of the communication exercises developed by Case have transitioned to MSSSC. Her knowledge and skills have expanded to communication programs for graduate medical education serving University Hospitals, the Cleveland Clinic, and MetroHealth.
Elumalai Appachi M.D.
Coordinator for SP Programs He joined MSSSC in the summer of 2006 as the physician coordinator for SP programs. Dr Appachi is a Pediatric Intensive Care Specialist from the Cleveland Clinic who was involved in early center work groups. He represented MSSSC at the International Meeting on Healthcare Simulation and the Association of Standardized Patient Educators. He will serve as the course coordinator for Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) courses sponsored by the Society for Critical Care Medicine.
