OUH-AHEC is a point of connection where the University and the community join together to meet the health care needs of the Greater Cleveland urban population Below are the committed and compassionate organizations that have partnered with us to find innovative ways to help Cleveland's urban population become more aware of and proactive about their health and healthcare.

AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland

The AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland (ATGC) is a non-profit, community-based provider of HIV prevention education and non-medical social services to people living with HIV and AIDS.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland

Mission Statement: To provide quality programming that inspires and enables youth, ages 6-18, facing challenging life circumstances to achieve their full potential as productive, responsible and caring people.

Care Alliance

The mission of Care Alliance is to provide high quality health care and related services to people who need them most, regardless of their ability to pay, in a manner that is cost effective and that empowers people to improve their quality of life.

Care Alliance offers primary healthcare and dentistry for people who are either homeless or living in public housing.

Case Center for Reducing Health Disparities

Mission:
To reduce health disparities through (a) research on root causes, mechanisms, and interventions, (b) education of students, providers, and policy makers, and (c) partnership with community organizations and government agencies.

The Center for Community Solutions

Community Solutions helps policymakers, community leaders, and service providers to identify the health, social, and economic challenges facing Greater Cleveland, and to target resources toward sound, cost-effective solutions.


Cleveland Department of Public Health


The Cleveland Department of Public Health (CDPH) works to ensure the health and well-being of Cleveland residents by providing information and education, primary care services including immunizations, substance abuse treatment and counseling programs, regulation of air quality, lead poisoning prevention programs, environmental inspections, and complaint investigations.

Cleveland State University - Biomedical and Health Institute

BAHI provides coordination and support for research, application, and education in the areas of biomedicine and health science, service, management, and policy.

Environmental Health Watch

Environmental Health Watch helps people:
PROTECT themselves from serious environmental threats
INFLUENCE corporate and government actions
AVOID both imprudent complacency and unnecessary alarm

The Gathering Place

The Gathering Place is a community-based, non-profit cancer support center providing free programs and services to individuals and families touched by cancer.

NorthEast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. (NEON)- The National Community Center of Excellence in Women's Health (CCOE)

In 2001, NEON was designated as a CCOE.  The hub of the program is the Women's Health Empowerment Center which provides health education and referrals to community services and programs.

Neighborhood Family Practice

Neighborhood Family Practice (NFP) is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving Cleveland's Westside for over 25 years. NFP provides primary healthcare services for individuals and families in all age groups regardless of ability to pay. Sliding scale fees available.

Sexual Assault and Violence Prevention Program

The Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Prevention Program (SADVPP) seeks to improve the health status of Ohio women by identifying issues that affect women's health and developing programs to address those issues, including programs that affect women's health or address sexual assault and domestic violence prevention and services.

Community Education Department


UCI's Community Education Department provides programs and services linking the educational resources of University Circle institutions with Cleveland Municipal School District students and teachers.

2-1-1/First Call For Help, a program of United Way, is a free community service to help Cuyahoga County residents get information about social, health and government resources 24 hours a day, every day.
