Two Research Associate Positions available to work in the area of oral innate immunity. Projects include identification
of commensal bacterial products which induce expression of endogenous antimicrobial peptides in human epithelial cells,
investigations into the regulatory pathways of these peptides and their immunoregulatory capacity. The qualified
candidates must be trained in molecular biology techniques including Northern and Southern blot analyses, PCR assays
(RT and ribosomal protection), transfections, transductions, RNA interference and with some knowledge of protein
chemistry and tissue culture. Additional experience in microbiology and immunology is desired. Candidates must have
earned their PhD's within the last 3 years, although current post-doc fellows/research associates will be considered.
