The entire country is realizing something the 2.5 million people living in Greater Cleveland have known for years - that this is an exceptional city in which to work, live and learn. In fact, Cleveland was named the United States' 12th most livable city among 333 rated in the new edition of Prentice Hall's Places Rated Almanac. Noted favorably were its health care institutions, the arts, and the four-seasons climate.


In addition, Cleveland is home to 30 Fortune 500 companies that are characteristic of its healthy, diversified economy. Cleveland is strong in biomedical technology, polymers, electronics, manufacturing, and publishing. Downtown Cleveland has undergone a renaissance during the past decade, and now offers a range of attractions to rival any city in the nation.
