Resources for Faculty

The SOM Office of Faculty Affairs and Human Resources provides guidance and assists faculty to understand their rights and obligations as individual faculty members, to manage their progress toward promotion, and to deal with special issues that may arise. The office also manages the faculty governance process, staffing the Faculty Council and managing nominations and elections to committees. While the first stop for assistance should always be their department chair and department administrators, faculty members may find useful resources here for understanding the promotion process, learning about committee opportunities, accessing library resources, negotiating IT issues, finding out how to get involved in the MD curriculum's, etc.
