Community Education
In addition to students, faculty, alumni and healthcare professionals, the School of Medicine provides educational opportunities for the community.
Mini Med School
Our Mini Med School, which takes place each semester, is one of the School's most unique community education offerings. Participants learn about new medical breakthroughs and how the body works. For more information, visit the Mini Med School website.
NetWellness
Another educational tool for community members is the consumer health information Web site NetWellness. Sponsored by Case Western Reserve University, University of Cincinnati and The Ohio State University.
Preventive Medicine & Health Promotion
The value of prevention is increasingly being emphasized in medical educational institutions due to the growing prevalence of preventable diseases. The goals are to provide up-to-date, clinically relevant information and cutting edge research results regarding the broad fields included under the rubric of Preventive Medicine. For more information, visit the Preventive Medicine website.
Research
For those interested in research, Case Western Reserve University's Research ShowCASE brings together scientists, researchers and scholars for a day of collaboration, creativity and innovation each spring. Additionally, the Lepow Medical Student Research Day highlights student research through posters and oral presentations.
