Diabetes - Insulin

Type 2 Diabetes is what we used to call Adult Onset Diabetes. Diet, exercise and sometimes oral medicines give good control in most cases.

But, about a third of these patients cannot achieve good control with this treatment alone.

The Journal of the American Medical Association reports a study of almost 9,000 patients with poor control of Diabetes who then received insulin shots.

The authors report that control of Diabetes improved and that this treatment was superior to other treatments.

If your doctor wants to add insulin to your Diabetes medications, don't be afraid of it.
