Several studies have shown there is more asthma today than in the recent past.
Now a study from Denmark, and reported in the New England Joural of Medicine, has some more disturbing news.
In the study, the doctors measured the breathing characteristics of over 17,000 people in the general population over a 15 year period.
They found that over time, those people with asthma had a significantly greater reduction in their ability to breathe than those people without asthma.
Asthma is highly treatable today and anyone with it should not go without help.
