Children's Health

The Journal of the American Medical Association reports a study of 12,000 adolescents that tells us what we may have already suspected.....and that is.....the most important factor in preserving the health of children is having a good emotional contact with their parents and their school.

Children so connected are less likely to have emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, use violence, smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or smoke marijuana than those not so connected.

So...parents and teachers....keep that close connection with your kids.

I'm Medical Editor, Dr. Ted Castele, with the Medical Moment.
