There is some good news from the Journal of The American Medical Association.

It is just possible that some patients who have high cholesterol may be able to correct the problem relatively easily .

Patients with underactive thyroid, or hypothyroidism, may have high cholesterol, depression, obesity and other symptoms.

All of these may be easily treated with daily hormone medication...The Journal suggests all patients have routine thyroid screening after age 35.
