Prescription Drug Dangers

The Journal of the American Medical Association reports a commentary from The Center for Health Policy Research which deserves attention.

It states that 1.5 million people are hospitalized and 100,000 die each year because of injuries linked to prescription drugs.

It points out that 51% of approved drugs have serious side effects which are not detected prior to approval.

The author of the report calls for an Office of Drug Safety with legal mandate to monitor this important matter.

Be sure you discuss all your medications thoroughly with your doctor.
