Combating High Blood Pressure

It's important for everyone to control their blood pressure, but it's especially so for diabetics.

The New England Journal of Medicine reports a study comparing two common medicines used to combat high blood pressure.

One is called a calcium channel blocker, the other is called an ace-inhibitor.

Both work equally well in doing their primary job but..... there was a greater risk of heart attack in the calcium channel blocker group.

The authors say more study is needed to confirm these results.
