Asthma and Inhalers

Many Americans use inhalers for asthma and they work wonders!

Some of the inhalers use steroids to reduce the inflammation which triggers asthma and they should continue to use these medications however......care must be exercised.

The Journal of the American Medical Association reports a study showing an increase in glaucoma among those patients who use high doses of steroids over extended periods of time.

No increase in glaucoma was found in those who used low to medium doses.

Be sure to follow your Doctor's advice carefully in this matter.
