Excess Dietary Iron

Taking too much iron in your diet may be too much of a good thing.

A report from Harvard Medical School and the University of Athens, Greece, shows that excess dietary iron increases the risk of coronary heart disease.

This finding was true for both men and women aged 60 or older, but was especially true for women.

A well-balanced diet is still the best advice and don't take any supplements without first talking to your doctor.
