Stroke Signs

Time is essential when it comes to treating people for stroke.

The newer drugs must be injected into the patient within three hours of symptoms to have a significant effect.

The Journal of the American Medical Association gives these warning signs of stroke:

  1. Sudden weakness or numbness on one side.
  2. Sudden loss of vision in one eye.
  3. Sudden loss of speech or loss of coordination.

If you or anyone around you has any of these symptoms, seek immediate medical help.

Call 911 or take the patient to the Emergency Room of a Hospital.
