Division of Adolescent Health

The Division of Adolescent Health was founded in 1991 as the Center for Adolescent Health at Case School of Medicine and became a Division of Adolescent Health in the Department of Family Medicine at Case School of Medicine in January 2005. The new Division will continue to conduct research and evaluation as well as provide professional education and collaboration with community organizations through its community arm, the Adolescent Consortium. The Division will now work closely with Family Medicine faculty members who also conduct research and education in the area of behavioral and public health. Current activities center around a community-wide surveillance of adolescents in Cuyahoga County that will develop an ongoing database of youth risk behaviors. Through the Maternal and Child Health block grant, we provide evaluation of all their funded projects. In addition, we head the Adolescent Track of the Master in Public Health Program at Case School of Medicine where we consult, teach and advise students on their capstone projects.
