Margaret A. Bobonich, DNP, FNP-C, DCNP, FAANP, joined Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in 2007 from prior positions including trauma/flight nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Bobonich obtained her Master's in Advance Practice Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing prior to completing an interdisciplinary Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Residency and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She has published seminal research in the development of curriculum for dermatology nurse practitioners and is a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner.
As Assistant Professor, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Dr. Bobonich is involved in directing the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Program and in educating physicians in our allopathic and osteopathic dermatology residencies, medical students, and nurses. Dr. Bobonich uses her knowledge, skills and teaching expertise to provide a vital element in our dermatology teaching program. Her clinical practice is general dermatology and is actively engaged in psoriasis research.
Dr. Bobonich is the co-editor for the first comprehensive dermatology textbook for advance practice clinicians and lectures nationally. She developed the Dermatology Specialty Conferences for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is one of the first dermatology NPs inducted as Fellow into the AANP. Dr. Bobonich has won numerous awards for excellence, leadership and community service. She has been working to provide health care access to underserved patients for the past 15 years and leads a health care team from Case Western Reserve University to provide care in Central America each year.
