Dr. Jennifer Bahner joined Case Western Reserve University as a Clinical Instructor and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in September 2014. Dr. Bahner’s training began at the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Medicine & Public Health, in Madison, Wisconsin where she earned her medical degree. She then completed an Internal Medicine Internship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (UHCMC) in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Bahner was accepted into the UHCMC Department of Dermatology first as a Clinical Research Fellow and the following year into the Dermatology Residency Program. She then completed Procedural Dermatology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic where she trained in Mohs micrographic surgery. Dr. Bahner’s clinical and research interests include melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancers (basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and actinic keratosis) and psoriasis. Her specialties are Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic surgery and general dermatology.
The Dermatologic Surgery team at University Hospitals specializes in all aspects of dermatologic surgery, ranging from removal of skin cancer by conventional surgical methods to the highly specialized procedure of Mohs micrographic surgery. Mohs micrographic surgery provides the greatest chance for a cure for even the most complicated skin cancers.
