program evaluation & reporting

The Program Evaluation and Reporting core addresses whether or not our CTSA achieves explicit goals in promoting multidisciplinary clinical investigation and whether such clinical research activities are distinguishable in real and tangible ways in type, number, and scope from existing multidisciplinary clinical investigations presently underway within our Clinical Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC). The evaluation is designed to meet the highest professional program evaluation standards of utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy as well as closely adhering to its five principles including systematic inquiry, competence, integrity/honesty, respect for people, and responsibility for general and public welfare. In addition, the core provides formative feedback for frequent and ongoing adjustments to our CTSC as well as present lessons learned at the local and national level. Last, but not least, the core will also contribute to generalizable knowledge about design, implementation, and outcomes of our program to help the broader academic research community learn from our experiences through publication and dissemination of our findings.
