American Brain Tumor Association Translational Grants

American Brain Tumor Association Translational Grants: These awards help scientists further develop studies on the cusp of moving from the laboratory into patient testing. These $75,000 one year grants often support the collection of the preclinical data researchers need to apply for major funding from other sources, such as the National Cancer Institute (NCI) or the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). Applicants must be in the earlier years of their investigator career. Criteria for funding include the quality and therapeutic potential of the research, the quality of the laboratory environment, and the applicant. Applications are due in the ABTA office no later than January 8, 2010 for research to begin July 1, 2010. Instructions and downloadable applications will post on this page by October 15th, 2009.
