Available Funds
- Requests for such funds may not exceed $65,000 and, if necessary, may include up to 20% salary support for the applicant. Other funds available include up to $10,000 of support to utilize CTSC cores for a total award not to exceed $75,000, direct costs only.
The purpose of the Pilot and Feasibility program is to initiate new ideas, supporting investigators from outside of the CF field with ideas and expertise from which CF could benefit, investigators currently in CF research but with new ideas that are significant departures from their existing research program and early stage investigators interested in CF. It is expected that by supporting such individuals, new ideas and projects will be stimulated that will be competitive for extramural funding.
Eligibility
Principal Investigator must have a primary appointment at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth Medical Center, University Hospitals Case Medical Center or The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. Investigators from outside of the CF field with ideas and expertise from which CF could benefit; investigators currently in CF research but with new ideas that are significant departures from their existing research program and early stage investigators interested in CF.
