• Biostatistics Epidemiology and Design (BERD)

The Behavioral Science Measurement Resource Core is a laboratory at Case Western Reserve University offering investigators a comprehensive set of consultation services, state-of-the-art equipment, and instruments to measure behavior and its effect on health outcomes. Assistance also is provided in adapting research approaches for special populations, such as persons with disabilities and people who do not speak English.

• Services available include: study design consultation, behavior theory and models consultation, instrument development and adaptation for special populations, data collection consultation, use of cutting edge technology for data collection (i.e., iPads, iPhones, web-based), equipment rental, focus group design and analysis assistance, data collection and processing, in-field troubleshooting, qualitative data analyses, focus group design, language translation services.
