Clinical & Translational Science Collaborative

The Research Concierge Service (RCS) is the entry point for collaboration with the CTSC; Carolyn Apperson-Hansen is the Director of the RCS. The RCS streamlines the process of obtaining regulatory and technologic consultation, identifies resources throughout the Partner Institutions that can support a research project or a proposed research project, and will triage a project or proposed project to the Core Resources or other resources for their assistance. The Service provides education about the CTSC and proposal development to inexperienced researchers and helps them to understand research study needs or navigate multi-disciplinary research processes. David Hellard, Research Enhancement Specialist, is on the RCS staff.

The RCS Director oversees the Request Management System (RMS) used to track requests and reports to CTSC leadership on resource utilization. The Service also oversees CTSC participant training, and has other significant responsibilities administering the CTSA grant. Administrative support is provided by department assistant Melissa Girt and administrative assistant Karen Toil.

The RCS and the Executive Director are the primary program representatives for internal and external synergies and opportunities promoting the mission and services of the CTSC.
