MSC 2013: Adult Stem Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Conference

MSC 2013: Adult Stem Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Conference

Monday, August 19 - Wednesday, August 21, 2013 Registration and Poster Abstract Submission for MSC 2013: Adult Stem Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine is now open! MSC 2013 will take place in Cleveland, OH, August 19-21, 2013 and offers a forum for the exchange and discussion of research, ideas, and cutting-edge breakthroughs in translational regenerative medicine. The breadth of topics from basic discovery through model validation, clinical product development, and therapeutic application, in addition to the links between academic and commercial labs, make this conference imperative for industrial researchers, academic investigators, IP and regulatory specialists, biotechnology development investors and post-doctoral and graduate students. For the full program go to http://www.mscconference.net and view highlights of this year’s conference presented by Conference Director, Dr. Arnold Caplan at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5qb5JqsSNM. To learn more about the conference and discounted registration, please contact Michael Gilkey at 216-368-2079 or michael.gilkey@case.edu.

MSC 2013 Student Travel Award Application

MSC 2013 Student Travel Award Application

The specific aim of this funding is to provide travel and registration support for graduate students, postdoctoral students and clinical fellows to attend MSC 2013, with an emphasis on supporting the participation of women and minority populations. An important consideration is the diversification and participation of students and fellows, so funds will be allocated for disadvantaged and under-represented students to attend the meeting. The goal is to improve career development in the field of regenerative medicine, including broadening their knowledge in stem cell technology and interacting with funded principal investigators. All applicants will be required to submit a poster for presentation and those chosen will present their work at MSC 2013. We plan to provide travel awards for approximately 20 graduate students and post-doctoral fellows to attend and “actively” participate in MSC 2013 through oral and poster presentations, networking events and co-chairing of sessions. Awards are based on actual costs and should not exceed $1000. Travel plans will be made through the National Center for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM) administration. Students will also be asked to help write the conference proceedings in concert with MSC 2013 Conference Directors.
