Request for Applications: BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES with LONGITUDINAL EHR DATA for RESEARCH - Deadline: August 15th

The Fairbanks Institute for Healthy Communities (Fairbanks Institute), a non-profit organization, and a partner of the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (Indiana CTSI), has a large collection of electronic medical records-liked, longitudinally annotated biospecimen (DNA, blood) from two chronic disease groups (coronary artery disease and diabetes mellitus) and their age matched controls.  They would like to encourage a broad range of researchers to use these samples and are soliciting submissions of applications for research use of these bio-specimens along with their longitudinal electronic medical record data.  This application is designed to promote research studies using the Fairbanks Institute’s samples to make fundamental discoveries to enhance our understanding of these disease mechanisms.  This offer is available to any member investigator within the CTSC.  Bio-specimens will be made available to researchers at no cost. Applications are due by 4:00pm on Friday, August 15th.
