Students’ research efforts, community service contributions, leadership skills and compassion in the delivery of care were highlighted in a commencement-eve ceremony May 14 at Case Western Reserve University’s Strosacker Auditorium. Attended by students and their families and friends, as well as medical school faculty, staff and administrators, the event was followed by a reception in the Biomedical Research Building lobby and dining hall.

Among the highlights:
  • • Fifty-two graduating medical students were recognized with an award and/or acknowledgement of induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society.
  • • Thirty-four awards were given to students (in addition to AOA recognition); some awards were given to more than one student, and some students received more than one award.
