6th Annual Diabetes Research Symposium

The Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland’s Dietrich Diabetes Research Institute (DDRI) and Case Western Reserve School of Medicine will present their 6th annual Diabetes Research Symposium Friday, November 13, 2009 at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The focus of this year’s Symposium, “Novel Mechanisms of Diabetes Complications,” will be on the development of micro- and macrovascular diabetic complications.  Particular emphasis will be on the role inflammation plays in the long-term complications of diabetes, a major source of morbidity.

Current Concepts in Joint Replacement

You are invited to attend the Twenty-Sixth Annual - Current Concepts in Joint Replacement – Winter 2009 meeting, December 9-12, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Orlando, Florida. Navigating the Challenge of Acute Decompensated Heart Failure: Co-Morbidity Management and New Guidelines will take place on February 12, 2010, 7:15am-2:30pm at MetroHealth Medical Center, Scott Auditorium. This course is designed to provide current evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) and its associated co-morbidities (cardiorenal syndrome, arrhythmias, sleep apnea, hyponatremia) through lecture, panel discussion, case presentations and interactive learning stations.

2010 Epilepsy Symposia

The 2010 Epilepsy Symposia will take place in two parts.  The first, Epileptology Course, will take place May 17 - 19, 2010 at Quail Hollow Resort.  The second, 3rd International Epilepsy Colloquium, will take place May 19 - 22, 2010 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel.  The Symposia will consist of new technologies, identification techniques, case discussions, and expert panels.
