about us
Through its Continuing Medical Education
Program, the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
supports its faculty in the development and delivery of high
quality continuing medical education activities for the benefit
of faculty, alumni, physicians and other health care professionals
regionally and nationally. The content of the activities are
derived directly from the mission and strategic priorities of
the School of Medicine. They are also tied closely to the School’s
unique role within the major academic medical center that extends
throughout the northeast Ohio Cleveland area by virtue of the
School’s relationships with affiliated teaching hospitals
and health systems.
The CME Program is responsive to the evolving educational needs
of clinicians across the broad continuum of scientific and clinical
advances that daily impact the practice of medicine. We are
reliant on the latest and most highly regarded scientific evidence.
The CME Program provides a full range of services for planning
and producing CME activities. Services include sponsorship
of grand rounds, series, live conferences, seminars, workshops
and a variety of self-study vehicles (“enduring materials”)
such as monographs, CD ROMs, audio/video tapes and courses
accessed over the Internet. More than 100 CME activities are
produced annually offering over 500 hours of instruction to
more than 20,000 participants.
The Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is
accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
