Research Summary:

Yunmei Wang is a research scientist at Case Cardiovascular Research Institute, Department of Medicine, School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Wang studies the mechanism underlying cardiovascular injury.   Her research focus on the role of   leukocyte and platelet interaction mediated by Mac-1 and GP Iba   in various cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, restinosis,  vasculitis etc.  These research efforts may provide insights into the development of   therapeutic reagents to treat cardiovascular diseases that are associated with leukocyte and platelet interaction.
