Research Summary:

Dr. Shi studies the mechanism underlying cardiovascular injury.   His research focus is on the regulation of gene expression by integrin engagement.  These research efforts may provide insights into the development of therapeutic reagents to treat cardiovascular diseases that are associated with leukocyte and platelet interaction.
