This is a normal heart beat and rate for a fit person who participates in regular aerobic exercise. It could also be the heart beat associated with a conduction abnormality. You should hear S1 followed by S2. Each sound is short and sharp. The normal heart beat ranges from 60 - 100 beats per minute. Rates below 60, indicate has bradycardia (slow heart rate). A good history would be needed to help determine if this borderline bradycardia is benign or pathologic.
