Interview Procedure
A personal interview and a visit to the school are essential components of our candidate selection. Applicants will be considered for an interview once their file is complete. The number of outstanding candidates will exceed the number of individuals who can be accommodated in our interviewing schedule. Therefore, the granting of interviews remains at the discretion of the Admissions Committee.
The CWRU School of Medicine utilizes a rolling admissions process and accepts applicants until the class is full. The Admissions Committee judiciously accepts applicants throughout the interview cycle to ensure equality for those interviewing later in the season.
We do not offer regional interviews.
Second Look Weekend
The Office of Admissions sponsors a weekend in the spring to allow newly accepted applicants an opportunity to return to CWRU and learn more about the School, meet future classmates, and explore
Cleveland. It is not intended to function as a second interview. In fact, you will probably enjoy the CWRU Second Look Weekend experience even more since there aren’t the pressures
of interviews and you won’t be wearing uncomfortable suits and shoes! In the past, as many as 60 percent of the students who attended Second Look Weekend matriculated to the CWRU School
of Medicine.

UNIVERSITY PROGRAM INTERVIEW DAY AGENDA
8:00-8:15 a.m. Arrive in Admissions, check-in, light breakfast
8:30 or 9:00 Welcome by a representative of the School of Medicine Administration Vice Dean of Medical School or Dean of Students
9:00-11:15 Interview with a faculty member or observe lecture/small group
11:15-11:30 Meet the Dean and/or Director of Admissions
11:30-11:50 Financial Aid Information Session
11:50 Lunch and Information Session with an admissions representative
12:45-1:15 1st Year Medical Student Question & Answer Session
1:15-1:45 Student-led tour of the Case Medical Center and the Medical School
1:45-3:15* Interviews with a faculty member and/or a student (All student interviews will take place in the afternoon)
