Service Level Agreement (SLA)

The Office of Administrative Computing offers desktop/laptop computer support for individual or department faculty/staff at the School of Medicine.


Services Provided


When acquiring services provided by the Office of Administrative Computing, the following services are included in all SLAs, but not limited to:


Desktop & Laptop Computer Support

  • Support for up to two computers per user
  • Support for one printer per user
  • Response time within 2 1/2 hours by phone or e-mail to establish mutual time for service
  • Assistance with ordering computers and associated equipment
  • Set up of new computers
  • Transfer of old data to new computers
  • Disposal of old computers
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of computer problems
  • Software support for core provided Case software. Other software support is on a "best effort" basis

Desktop & Laptop Preventive Maintenance

  • Set up of proper security settings
  • Software upgrades
  • Management of AnitVirus Software
  • Verification of operating system updates
  • Periodic hardware checks

PDA/Smartphone Support

  • One Case PDA/Smartphone support per user

IT Consulting Services

Other services can be discussed/provided as needed


Services NOT Provided


The following services are not included in the Office of Administrative Computing SLA:


Support for faculty located in any hospitals

  • Hospital IT staff should provide this support
